Like all of us, I needed a respite from the terrible crisis of 2020. The shutdowns afforded me plenty of spare time and I had always wanted to learn to paint. That summer I took a couple of online classes and several group classes at Rox Art Gallery in Littleton, CO. In the spring of 2021, I began private study under master artist, Tracy Pristas. I found myself through the adventure of learning to paint.

I love painting in the impressionist style, or “painterly realism.” I’ve always been passionate about color, flowers, and travel. Painting affords me a new way to connect with beautiful colors, landscapes from my travels, and flowers from my garden. Almost all of my paintings are from photos I took while traveling, or of flowers I grew in my yard. I hope you enjoy them!
